Slim and Elegant Apple Magic Mouse Review

Apple has delivered its best with the Magic Mouse. The bridge shape of the mouse resembles that of the Dove bar and makes it one of those rare mice (perhaps the only) that catches attention instantly. This delicate yet sturdy mouse flaunts two-fingered gestures and aerodynamic face-lift along with touch-sensitive scrolling that will carve a niche for itself in the market Flvto.

The Apple Magic Mouse comes free with every new iMac PCs and is available for sale at just $69 which is not a penny more than the Mighty Mouse but quite an upgrade over the latter. However, the absence of buttons and the narrow shape will be tough to adjust instantly. Design – When it comes to aesthetics and attractive design, no one can beat Apple.

The Magic Mouse measures 4.5×2.3×0.5 inches. The rectangular shape of Magic Mouse makes it sleek and impressively handy. On first looking, Magic Mouse reminds of the Arc Mouse by Microsoft.

To render a smooth feel, Magic Mouse has completely done away with buttons on the clicker. The mouse looks like a shell in white color devoid of the Apple logo in grey. The backside of the Magic Mouse flaunts a latch to cover the AA batteries, a power switch, and an indicator light. Besides, the Magic Mouse goes automatically conserves battery when not used for quite some time.

Made of aluminum, the Magic Mouse does wonders only in terms of looks and design. But when it comes to ergonomics, the plastic-made mice will be remembered any day. Moreover, it is so slim and sleek that it is almost absorbed into the table, making it difficult for the users to hold it comfortably. The fingers struggle to find a confirmed position on the narrow profile. However, the Magic Mouse is uniform in shape so much so that both right-handed users and left-handed users can use it.

Connection

The Magic Mouse connects to only Apple computers via Bluetooth. The PCs must be running on Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later versions. Also, users must install Wireless Mouse software 1.0 into the PC to be able to use the mouse. So, it is a disadvantage as most mice work – plugin and start working.

Tracking

The mouse sports a laser sensor that works on almost any surface (except of course cloths and glass). It cannot be said that Magic Mouse is on top of all other mice because Logitech’s latest mice work on Darkfield – glass tracking technology – so that the mice tracks even on transparent glass or carpet.

Scrolling

Multi-touch gestures are the USP of Magic Mouse. The entire surface of the mouse is multi-touch gesture-enabled. So no matter where the finger is swiped, the result will be the desired one. 360-degree scrolling on any page is possible with just one finger. When the user swipes two fingers horizontally at the same time, the mouse enables forward–back navigation. The zoom function works in the usual manner with the Control key and scrolling. The momentum feature realizes in what speed you are dragging the mouse over a document and keeps no time lag in between.

Final Words

The Magic Mouse is the right choice for those who adhere to Apple devices and who did not like the Mighty Mouse at all. Besides, the magical looks and sleek form factor will add elegance to the PC table animedao. However, the fine structure and software issues could be annoying at times.
